Watch: Viral Video of Woman’s Off the Rails Remarks to Deputy
We’ve seen a lot of wild, anti-ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) rants over the past few months from the left.
You need to give credit to ICE agents for doing their job while having to put up with all of this to their face, as well as having to deal with demonization from Democrats and the media.
But people on the left often express the same attitude toward local police officers.
Victoria Taft of our sister site, PJ Media, captured an exchange between a woman confronted by a Thurston County (Washington) Sheriff’s Office deputy about what he was doing while parked outside a Thurston County elementary school. Her attitude is quite different, since she claims that he “scares families”.

“You should probably go do your job where your work is,” she said.
He again explained to her that he was filling out an accident report and that he was doing his job.
That’s when she really crossed the line.
Can you maybe, for a second, acknowledge that you might be a really upsetting sight for a lot of people right now?
Madam, I’m just doing my job – [she interrupts]
I understand. I do it, I understand. But so that we can collaborate with you in the future? We’re going to have to show ourselves a little humanity. Are you going to have to show us that you understand the circumstances?
ALL RIGHT
And the feelings you evoke because it would be so great to know that you are there for us? [fake laughter]. It would be so great to feel like you understand. And understand…
[unintelligible officer reply]– that you are [raises voice] in fact, you are the line of defense between us and this fucking fascism? But until it’s obvious?
[Deputy motions to his work]Until it’s obvious you’re part of OUR community?
ALL RIGHT. Well, ma’am [she interrupts]
So I don’t think you should linger here.
All right, now. I guess she’s upset by ICE’s remarks about what people are experiencing “now”, “fascism” and whether the congressman is “part of our community”.
It’s wild; most people would welcome the presence of the police at the school to protect it and keep the children safe. This is another example of how much cops have to put up with and how patient they can be. At no point does he lose his composure, although he quickly turns away for a few seconds when she talks about “fascism.” I wonder if he was laughing. He did everything he could to show his “humanity” there by being as polite as possible, given the circumstances.
The deputy reminded her that they were in front of a school, and that maybe she shouldn’t swear in front of the school, which she acknowledged.
It’s hard to believe that someone could do this and then publish it. This is part of the larger problem. She probably doesn’t see why what she did would be wrong. She should thank him for being there to protect the children and the school.
But the best part was the reaction from the officer’s boss, Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders, which was shared on Facebook once the video went viral.
I am grateful that this person recorded this meeting and shared it for me to view, as I will place a letter of commendation in Deputy Domeno’s file for his tact, professionalism, and reluctance to take the bait that was handed to him in this meeting. Deputy Domeno is a brand new deputy with only a few months of solo patrol, but his composure was that of a 30 year veteran.
I want to clarify a few things:
1. The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office and our employees are part of and belong to this community.
2. We encourage our patrol deputies to maintain a regular presence in all of our schools, and there is no easier way to do this than to sit in the school parking lot instead of the office to write a report.
3. The feedback we receive from families, students and faculty at the school is overwhelmingly positive throughout the county, and for those who have concerns, we are always happy to meet and address them.
Thank you for representing TCSO so well, Congressman Domeno, you report where I want you to be: ready and able to protect our children from harm.
The sheriff also noted that this woman was not an employee of the school and that no one at the school approved of her statements.
How awesome is that? We’ve seen some bad reactions from woke officials, so it’s nice to see someone who understands, supports their man, and exposes some truth to the matter.
