Apple’s iPhone Air MagSafe battery pack is cheaper than ever

We found the iPhone Air to have pretty decent battery life for such a thin and light phone, around 27 hours if you’re continuously streaming video. But it’s still a phone, arguably your most used device on a daily basis, so you may need to charge it during the day if you use it constantly. That’s where Apple’s iPhone Air MagSafe Battery comes in, and it’s currently on sale for $79.
Apple
This iPhone Air battery is currently $20 off.
This accessory only works with the iPhone Air, but just like the phone it attaches to, it’s extremely thin at 7.5mm, so it doesn’t add so much bulk when attached that it defeats the point of having a slim phone in the first place. The MagSafe battery isn’t huge at 3,149mAh (enough to add 65% more charge to the Air), but it can also wirelessly charge the AirPods Pro 3, making it an even more useful travel companion. You can also charge your iPhone while charging the battery.
At its regular price of $99, the MagSafe battery is an admittedly expensive addition to what is already an expensive phone, but for $20 off, it’s worth considering what Engadget’s Sam Rutherford called an “essential accessory” for some users in his review of the iPhone Air.
Many Apple loyalists will still insist on having first-party accessories for their iPhone, but there are also plenty of third-party MagSafe chargers, many of which are considerably cheaper than Apple’s line. Be sure to check out our guide for those.
