Americans Are Rejecting Trump’s ‘Propaganda Presidency’

On MS NOW’s “Deadline” Thursday, political commentator Amanda Carpenter said Americans reject President Donald Trump’s “propaganda presidency.”
Carpenter said: “Donald Trump put his image on a big banner above the Department of Justice, right above the words Department of Justice, literally as if: ‘Look, I’m above the law. And maybe that cheers up some MAGA supporters, but I think most Americans, because it’s in our DNA to reject this kind of tyranny, will look at this and say this is not what America is supposed to be. You can celebrate America’s 250th birthday, but you can say no to that. I can say no to that image that’s hovering over your head, his mugshot, what it looks like on the Department of Justice and say that’s going too far because, you know, this kind of propaganda presidency that we’re seeing, it’s about him taking over public space that doesn’t belong to him or that doesn’t deserve our tax dollars, paying for this building and these prosecutors to uphold the rule of law, not to protect Donald Trump and do what he wants.
She added: “I think it’s just the perfect picture. And I watched that and it completely motivated me to do the work that I do. And I think if more people watch that, they’ll feel the same way.”
