Why Did Republicans Skip The Hearing For Epstein’s Billionaire Bestie Les Wexner?

House Oversight GOP members ignored billionaire Les Wexner’s deposition, where he revealed new details about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
Wednesday’s deposition to the House Oversight Committee took place in Ohio, where several Democratic committee members traveled to be present at the Epstein’s co-conspirator deposition, including Democratic Ranking Member Robert Garcia from California. Although several Democratic members were present during the deposition, no Republican members traveled for the deposition of Wexner, who was reportedly one of Epstein’s biggest financiers.
If Les Wexner is listed by the DOJ/FBI as a “co-conspirator” in the Epstein files, why isn’t he in jail?

The Daily Caller contacted the House Oversight Committee to find out why no Republican members attended the deposition.
Depositions are formal legal proceedings conducted by committee staff. Under committee rules, the majority and minority alternate between hour-long question periods.
Republican Committee Chairman James Comer was not present at the deposition because he was undergoing previously scheduled major oral surgery.
The United States House of Representatives is in recess the week of February 17 and is scheduled to reconvene on February 20. During this break, lawmakers are typically back in their home districts for scheduled work periods, where they meet with their constituents and attend local events, rather than taking time off. Meanwhile, discussions and negotiations over funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) continue despite the pause.
The Daily Caller asked an anonymous Republican Party member why the depositions of Wexner, former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were taking place anywhere other than Washington, D.C., and why members were attending the depositions.
“I don’t know why we do these things away from Washington. I don’t know, because if the average citizen was called, they would be called to Washington, D.C., and if they weren’t, they could be arrested. I don’t know why we do it this way,” he told the caller.
Former President Clinton will appear for a deposition on February 27 and the former secretary will appear separately on February 26 in New York, according to a report from NBC News.
James Comer said Thursday Hannite with host Sean Hannity that he is no longer interested in pursuing an investigation into Wexner, adding that the committee’s investigation will instead focus on individuals who were never interviewed. “He has already been the subject of an investigation by the Department of Justice [DOJ]” Comer said.
🚨Questions remain about how Epstein amassed such immense wealth and maintained relationships with so many influential and powerful people.

Wexner, in footage released by the committee, said during his deposition that he was never interviewed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the DOJ.
“Has the FBI or the Department of Justice ever spoken to you directly about Epstein or Maxwell? Has the FBI or DOJ ever directly contacted you or spoken to you about Epstein or Maxwell?” someone asked Wexner.
Wexner responded, “Not to my knowledge” when asked if either agency had ever contacted him. Pressed further – “Never?” – he reiterated: “Never”.
The FBI and DOJ NEVER QUESTIONED THE WEXNERS! NEVER!

The caller contacted the Republican representative from South Carolina. Nancy Macé for comment but did not receive a response before publication.
The caller also contacted the DOJ to confirm whether it had previously interviewed, investigated, or currently has active investigations involving Wexner, but did not receive a response prior to publication.
