Samsung’s February Security Patch Is Now Available on These Devices

This is going to be a big week for Samsung. The company is making major announcements at Galaxy Unpacked 2026 on Wednesday, revealing the next generation of Galaxy S Series devices (which almost certainly means the Galaxy S26), as well as new AI updates. Ahead of this event, Samsung is also rolling out its latest security updates for its Galaxy devices, at least for some of its devices.
What’s new with Samsung’s February security update
Samsung’s February security update contains 37 fixes for issues discovered by the company since the January update. This time there are no critical fixes, but there are plenty of fixes for “high” severity issues. According to SamMobile, 25 of these patches were provided by Google, which address Android issues in general, while the other 12 were specific to Samsung to fix issues within its own ecosystem. This includes issues with Emergency Sharing, Knox Guard Manager, Samsung Dialer, Samsung’s Settings app, face and fingerprint authentication systems, and the PACM module, things that only apply to Samsung’s own operating system.
Not all Galaxy phones will benefit from this update immediately. Samsung is kicking things off with its Galaxy S25 series, i.e. the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. It also appears to be rolling out to its latest foldable devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z TriFold. If you’ve bought the latest and greatest from Samsung, at least until the S26 series launches, you’ll likely see the update in your Settings app imminently. If your Galaxy device is older (or even a year older than the S25 series), you may have to wait a bit for the fixes to appear.
Speaking of waiting, Samsung has started rolling out this update to Korean users, so if you’re in another region, you might not see it right away. But it seems clear that the patch is on the way, especially with Unpacked releasing on Wednesday.
What do you think of it so far?
