IDF captures terrorists in West Bank operations, Police detain 30 illegal immigrants in Tel Aviv

The IDF operation included an attack on two apartments in the camp where terrorists were hiding.
Jerusalem Border Police and IDF troops detained terrorists in the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp in the West Bank in a joint operation on Wednesday, an Israel Police spokesperson said in a statement.
The operation included a simultaneous attack on two hideout apartments in the camp where the terrorists were hiding.
“The detainees were transferred to the General Security Service for further investigation,” the statement reads.
Police detain 30 undocumented immigrants in Tel Aviv
In a different operation, the Yarkon Police Station in Tel Aviv arrested 30 undocumented immigrants along with six people suspected of illegally employing them.
According to the police report, the operation involved volunteers alongside officers to locate illegal residents, with checks conducted at construction sites, various businesses in the city, restaurants and cafes, and transportation vehicles.

This was the second major police crackdown on undocumented immigrants in 2026, with another raid targeting seven businesses employing more than 50 people illegally in Israel on January 2.
The closure represented the end of a week-long operation directed by Northern District Commander Meir Eliyahu, where hundreds of illegal immigrants were captured, along with those suspected of employing, harboring, or aiding them.
