Factor Offers High Protein Meal Delivery Options (2026)

I should probably add the disclaimer that I love cooking, was a professional chef for many years, and my family of five rarely eats anything other than home-cooked meals. But I understand. Many people are looking for a way to eat healthier in the midst of busy schedules and may have never learned to cook, or want to follow a specific diet like keto that requires a lot of research, planning, and effort.
In these situations, I can see the appeal of a solution like Factor. Dial in whatever you want, it pops up, you microwave it, eat and you’re on your way without giving in and ordering pizza for the third time this week.
While Factor’s meals are generally enjoyable and reasonably tasty — for some reason the dishes tending toward Mexican cuisine seemed better than the others — there’s no denying that eating food from a segmented plastic tray is uninspiring. At the very least, put your heated results on a real plate. It will be better that way. Trust me, there’s a reason your plate is carefully prepared when it arrives at your table at a fancy restaurant. Aesthetics matter.

Factor proteins, especially meats, were the highlight of most meals. The options I tried included a meatball and pasta dish with green beans, a bunless burger, shrimp pasta with zucchini, a fake grits meal (cauliflower grits), and a chicken taco bowl. In any case, the proteins were quite tasty, the sauces were mixed, while the vegetables fared less well overall, cook them, package them, ship them, reheat them. The green beans were particularly what I might call “sinister,” rather than the “vibrant and fresh” that I suspect Factor was going for.
But we need to step back from the aesthetic experience and remember the context in which these meals exist. It’s not fine dining or even a home-cooked meal, but a healthy alternative to microwaveable frozen meals that are high in artificial ingredients and often contain unnecessary added sugars. When you remember, Factor starts to look not only better, but downright attractive.
