Carbon-based catalyst can use sunlight to degrade PFAS

An international team of scientists led by the University of Bath has developed a new catalyst, a substance that speeds up chemical reactions, that uses sunlight to break down “forever chemicals” prevalent in the environment and known to build up in the human body with unknown long-term health effects.
