Renee Good’s dad: I would take those bullets a thousand times to protect her

In an interview broadcast this evening on “CBS Evening News”, Renée Good’s his family said they would trade their lives for his if they could.
Matt Gutman spoke Friday with Good’s parents, Tim and Donna Ganger, and his brothers, Brent and Luke, nearly two months after Good’s birth. shot and killed by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in Minneapolis.
“As a father, my first instinct, I would trade a thousand times putting myself in front of her to protect her,” Tim Ganger said.
“Would you take these bullets?” » asked Gutman.
“Absolutely,” he said. “A thousand times we would all do it.”
Good’s brother, Brent, echoed the sentiment: “Yes, we all would. Everyone would.” His mother, Donna, added: “Easily.”
Tim continued, “You know, you raise your children, you send them into the world with the best tools possible. And I would do that today to protect her.”
