United on the hunt for a new goalkeeper after INEOS take firm call

Manchester United are planning a major on-pitch overhaul at the end of the season.
While most fans are expecting reinforcements in midfield, INEOS are also planning to improve their goal scoring.
Senne Lammens has proven himself worthy of the No. 1 jersey, but the Red Devils want quality reinforcement given the uncertain future of their three current options.

Andre Onana, on loan at Trabzonspor, has no future at Old Trafford and will most likely be sold once the window opens.
Two goalkeepers about to be sold
Altay Bayindir is expected to follow suit, with Besiktas leading the race for his signature. Tom Heaton’s contract expires this summer.
Which explains why, according to Football Insider, the 20-time champions of the English league want a replacement to compete with their Belgian goalkeeper.
“Man United are considering signing a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window as they prepare to let two of their current options leave.
“Andre Onana is currently on loan at Turkish club Trabzonspor and there is a growing feeling that he will be allowed to leave permanently next summer.

Lammens’ replacement will be recruited
“Meanwhile, Altay Bayindir is reportedly on the verge of a move away from Old Trafford, with Besiktas the main suitors for his signature.
“Senne Lammens has established himself as the undisputed number one under Michael Carrick, and any signing this summer will likely be a replacement for him.”
Academy graduate Radek Vitek is on fire for Bristol City and there are rumors he could be included in the first team next season.
Whether that would stagnate its growth is another question entirely. It will be interesting to see which goalkeeper is ultimately recruited.
