Meekness isn't weakness. Once considered positive, it's one of the 'undersung virtues' that deserve defense today

What do you imagine when you think of sweetness? You probably see a mouse doormat, someone timidly acquiescing to the will of the strongest. When Jesus says, “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth,” you might think that these wimps would hand it over without a whimper or a word of objection to stronger, more ambitious people. The philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche called meekness “cowardly baseness.”
