Trump Reveals His Inspiration for Iran Bombing Campaign

“America, regardless of what so-called international institutions say, is launching the deadliest and most precise air campaign in history. B-2s, fighters, drones, missiles and, of course, classified effects, all on our terms, with maximum authority,” Hegseth said. added. “No stupid rules of engagement, no nation building quagmires, no democracy building exercises, no politically correct wars. We fight to win and we don’t waste time or lives.”
Hegseth: “Israel also has clear missions for which we are grateful. Competent partners are good partners, unlike so many of our traditional allies who wring their hands and clutch their pearls, dither and dither on the use of force…no stupid rules of engagement.” pic.twitter.com/j7YsjmHhg3

Hegseth spits in the face not only of the UN, but also of any constraint or control of targets. He also seems to ignore the need to plan for the consequences of a gratuitous war, which makes America’s botched reconstruction of Iraq seem almost quaint. It is obvious that the lives he is referring to are not those of civilians in Iran or the rest of the region.
Invoking Israel, including the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant face charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity from the International Criminal Court on the Gaza massacre, further shows that Hegseth is happy to bomb Iran with impunity, regardless of the human cost.
