House Oversight Committee releases videos of Clinton depositions on Jeffrey Epstein

The House Oversight Committee on Monday released videos of its interviews last week with former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as part of its investigation into the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
NBC News reviews the videos, which are approximately four and a half hours each. The images were released days after the Clintons spoke to the Republican-led committee to answer questions about Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell.
Hillary Clinton answered questions from the committee under oath on Thursday, and Bill Clinton answered questions on Friday.
Bill Clinton admitted to taking Epstein’s plane for the Clinton Foundation trip in the early 2000s, before Epstein was indicted on criminal charges, and denied knowledge of Epstein’s crimes at the time. Hillary Clinton said she didn’t remember meeting him but acknowledged that Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking, was an “acquaintance.” Neither Clinton has been accused of wrongdoing.

“When the video of my testimony today is released, I hope it motivates everyone to come before Congress and say what they know. I hope it motivates the Department of Justice to finally release all the records and ensure that this never happens again,” he said.
Transcripts of the interviews — which are to be reviewed by multiple parties, including the Clintons — will be released at a later date.
