Democratic voters in North Carolina’s 4th Congressional District will go to the polls Tuesday to choose between two terrible candidates.

The primary election sees North Carolina Democratic incumbent Rep. Valerie Foushee running against Durham County Commissionwoman Nida Allam. Allam could reasonably be described as the “more progressive” of the two, but that doesn’t really capture the radical nature of both women’s politics. For example, Allam wants abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Foushee only co-sponsored the “Melt ICE ACT,” a proposal that would “defund and strip” ICE of its authority over immigration detention or surveillance. So you see, it’s a moderate.
