Total lunar eclipse transforms sky with stunning blood moon: PHOTOS
People around the world watched the Moon transform into a striking blood moon on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, during a total lunar eclipse. The full moon in March is called the “Worm Moon” because it coincides with the time of year when the soil softens and earthworms and beetles emerge. The eclipse marked the last blood moon observed in North America until New Year’s Eve 2028.
