Mississippi State University professors continue their work at the intersection of mathematics, statistics and climate science with the release of a new study examining regional snow cover trends in the Northern Hemisphere. The results suggest a decrease in snow cover as well as seasonal changes as the winter layer comes and goes. The study, titled “Regional Analysis of Snow Occurrence Trends in the Northern Hemisphere,” was published in January in the Journal of Hydrometeorology.
