Milford, conn. – A man from Connecticut was sentenced to 65 years in prison on Monday for the death of her 2019 girlfriend, Christine Holloway, but their little girl disappeared at the time and remains missing.

Jose Morales, 48, was sentenced by a jury in April of murder and falsified evidence in the murder of Holloway, which took place inside his house in Ansonia at around 10 miles (16 kilometers) west of New Haven.

Their daughter Vanessa was 14 months old when Holloway was killed and those close to them continue their efforts to find her. Police said in 2019 that Morales was a suspect in the disappearance of the girl, but he was never charged.

Several members of the Holloway family spoke during the conviction.

“What was done to my niece Christine Holloway is unforgivable and disgusting and this monster continues to lie. Where is Vanessa? How can someone be so cruel? Said Anna Rodonski, the aunt of Holloway.

Morales refused to speak during the hearing before the Milford Superior Court. He testified during the trial that two intruders attacked Holloway with a doe foot and assaulted him before kidnapping Vanessa. Morales also said that it was raised on PCP at the time.

His lawyer, Edward Gavin, told the judge on Monday: “This is an extraordinarily difficult case. This shows the ailments of the PCP and the consumption of drugs in our society. ”

Before pronouncing, judge Shari Murphy described vicious crime and said that Morales showed an indifferent indifference to human life.

“Mr. Morales, you are a dangerous person, an important threat to society and you must be withdrawn from the community for a substantial period,” said the judge.
