This week in Apple history
The very first Apple Studio Display was introduced on March 17, 1998, during the keynote speech at the Seybold Seminars in New York. It was Apple’s first flat screen, and Steve Jobs called it “very cool.” It was a 15-inch LCD display with a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768, a contrast ratio of 200:1, and a brightness of 180 nits. It arrived in a translucent blue case. Watch the display introduction below.
It will be interesting to see what external display support is available with the new inexpensive MacBook with the “iPhone chip” and ports. I don’t expect it to be good, but I’m ready to be surprised.

I could care less about anything new [entry-level] iPad UNLESS it needs to use the dongle to charge the pencil. I came close to breaking the bastard in half a few times because of the pencil and that stupid, stupid dongle. I’m angry just writing this.
