Very Interesting Speech – TPM – Talking Points Memo

Here is another video that I recommend, following on from last night’s expedition video but on a different subject. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse’s office sent the video this afternoon. This is a speech the senator gave on the Senate floor this afternoon. It’s about Trump, Russia and Jeff Epstein. This reminds us, among other things, of how Bill Barr made most of the American press believe that the Mueller investigation was meaningless into Donald Trump’s collusion with Russia. But it’s a bigger story. The speech lasts almost an hour. But it’s worth it. There are so many details in the speech that it defies easy summary. The best insight is to think of all the ways Donald Trump was and still is connected to the Russian government and oligarchic para-government. Whitehouse then shows that Jeff Epstein is present at almost every touchpoint. It’s a mix of old information, new reports, and some pretty in-depth analysis of the emails in the Epstein files that wouldn’t really jump out at you on their own, but would become very interesting when lined up with other outside information that puts them in context. Whatever this “thing” is, Epstein is just as connected to it as Trump and, at many points, appears to be a connecting link. You can watch the speech after the jump.
