“Kill Them All” – Mother Jones

In response to the London terrorist attack, representative Clay Higgins (R-La) had an extreme proposal: killing anyone suspected of being an Islamic radical.
On his campaign facing page, Higgins, a former police officer, published this message:
The free world … all Christianity … is at war with Islamic horror. No penny of American treasury should be granted to a nation that houses these pagan animals. Not a single radicalized Islamic suspect should be granted a measurement of the quarter. Their entry planned to the American homeland should be briefly refused. Each imaginable measurement must be engaged to track them down. Hunt them, identify them and kill them. Kill them all. For the good of everything that is good and fair. Kill them all.
The position increased early Sunday morning. On Saturday evening, alleged terrorists killed seven people in an attack on London Bridge. The Islamic State claimed these murders.
With his declaration that Christianity is “at war with Islamic horror”, Higgins kissed a theme of the extreme right: the fight against extremist jihadists is part of a fundamental confrontation between Christian society and Islam. And in this Facebook post, he called to kill not only terrorists recognized guilty of odious actions, but also of any person suspected of such an act. He did not explain how the United States could determine how to identify radicalized Islamists in order to refuse them entry into the United States. It was not clear if his proposal to deny any aid to any nation that houses “these pagan animals” would apply to England, France, Indonesia, Spain and other nations where jihadist cells have committed horrible acts of violence.
The Higgins office refused to allow a Mother Jones Journalist to speak to a spokesperson for the Congress member. But in an email, his spokesperson confirmed that the Facebook publication was authentic.
At the end of January, Higgins delivered a fiery discourse of the Democrats and the “liberal media” for the ban on Muslim travel of President Donald Trump. He said that “radical Islamic horror has seized the world and … incredibly … was authorized to enter our own nation with free contempt.”
Shortly before the Congress, Higgins resigned from his post as a public information officer from the Sheriff’s office of the parish of St. Landry, where he had acquired a reputation for “Cajun John Wayne” for his crimestopper videos to go. Higgins suddenly stopped after his boss, the sheriff, ordered him to reduce his non -professional comments. “I told him several times to stop saying things like:” you do not have brain cells “or to make completely disrespectful and degrading comments,” said sheriff.
“I am not well mastered,” noted Higgins at the time. “Although I like and respect my sheriff, I have to resign.”
Update: Higgins’ campaign spokesman Chris Comeaux said Mother Jones In an email: “The Higgin representative refers to terrorists. He pleads to track down and kill all the terrorists. It is an idea that all of America and Great Britain should be united behind. ”
