ACC basketball tournament 2026: Bracket, schedule and scores

ACC Tournament action heats up Wednesday with four games, including postseason debuts for five teams. No. 7 seed NC State will look to halt its late-season slide against No. 15 seed Pitt in the day’s opener. The ACC Tournament began with a thriller Tuesday as No. 15 seed Pitt beat No. 10 seed Stanford 64-63, potentially ruining the Cardinal’s overall NCAA Tournament aspirations. Damarco Minor played hero for the Panthers by rebounding from his own miss and scoring a go-ahead goal in the final second.

In other action, No. 11 SMU remained on the path to at-large consideration with a desperately needed 86-69 victory over No. 14 seed Syracuse. The Mustangs had lost four in a row entering the competition, putting their NCAA Tournament hopes in jeopardy. The nightcap between No. 12 seed Virginia Tech and No. 13 seed Wake Forest provided a thrilling end to the first day of action, as the Demon Deacons outlasted the Hokies 95-89 in overtime.
