Taylor Sheridan’s latest Paramount+ show, The Madison, is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Written and created by Sheridan, the star-studded drama series is headlined by Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell.
Many of Sheridan’s shows on Paramount+ are released weekly. Several of his projects have received multiple-episode premieres before transitioning to a weekly release. As for the day of their release, Sunday has been the popular choice. However, The Madison is switching things up and implementing a unique streaming schedule.
What is The Madison’s release schedule?
The Madison will be released in two batches
The Madison will consist of six episodes. Instead of a weekly schedule or a binge release, Paramount+ is dividing The Madison into two sections. The first three episodes drop on March 14 at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT. One week later, the final three episodes will air on March 21 at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT. By next weekend, many fans will have finished streaming the series.
It’s an unusual strategy for Paramount+. However, these six episodes won’t tell the entire story. The Madison has already filmed a second season, though a release date has yet to be announced.
As for the show, The Madison is being billed as Sheridan’s “most intimate work to date.” Originally positioned to be in the Yellowstone universe, The Madison now stands on its own as a separate story.
Pfeiffer stars as Stacy Clyburn, who uproots her family from New York City to Montana’s Madison River Valley following an unspeakable tragedy. Stacy hopes the move will allow her family to grieve and find newfound purpose in their lives. Russell plays Stacy’s husband, Preston Clyburn.
Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, Matthew Fox, and Will Arnett also star.
All six episodes were written by Sheridan and directed by Christina Alexandra Voros.

Initial reviews for The Madison have been positive. The Madison opened with an 85% on Rotten Tomatoes. Collider praised Pfeiffer’s performance as “one of her best” and highlighted the show’s striking visuals and cinematography.
Sheridan’s empire at Paramount+ continues to grow at a rapid pace. Lioness and Landman will both return for third seasons. Mayor of Kingstown is currently filming its fifth and final season.
Meanwhile, the Yellowstone spin-offs are starting to roll out. Marshals, a police procedural starring Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, is currently airing Sunday nights on CBS. Marshals will get a second season. Plus, Dutton Ranch, the Beth and Rip spin-off, is coming soon to Paramount+.
