Using the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS), astronomers have discovered a new super-Earth exoplanet orbiting a star about 83 light-years away. The new alien world is slightly larger than Earth and encircles its host in less than four days. The discovery was reported in a paper published February 28 on the preprint server arXiv.
