Kyle Hamilton shows off his genius during a recent podcast appearance

Great players don’t always become great coaches. Well, that seems to happen more in football than basketball… Sometimes maybe it’s the weird way the universe balances itself. It’s not fair to give everything to one man or woman. Yet something tells us that Ray Lewis’ leadership would always work, no matter which era of Baltimore Ravens coach he decided to join.
Still, most would agree that Michael Jordan’s genius on the court far exceeded what he offered as an NBA executive. Mike Singletary was not a great football coach. See? There must be something in what we’re saying here.

Kyle Hamilton is different, however. Once his playing days are over (hopefully a long time from now), maybe he’ll join someone’s coaching staff. We bet he would crush it. Haven’t you noticed that he plays like he’s been invited to the opposing offense’s huddle to hear the play call?
Kyle Hamilton offers an impressive display of knowledge on the I AM ATHLETE podcast.
So, it’s actually pretty cool. Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton was recently on the I AM ATHLETE podcast, and part of the conversation went viral. He was asked how many digits of Pi he knew. You might be shocked at how good he is at this stuff.
Okay, we think we have the answer. Hamilton is an alien. His brain is clearly working at peak performance in some areas where the rest of us are too lazy to work on ours. Here’s a theory. None of this will make him safer. Memorizing Pi’s numbers won’t help him make a tackle or intercept a pass on Sunday afternoon, but it’s something to be said. Guys with exceptional intelligence usually turn out to be fairly high IQ football players.

Whether they become great coaches in another group or are simply remembered solely as great players, this is a question we all have an answer to. Here’s something we all understand about this game we love.
Football has always rewarded players who see the play half a second faster than everyone else, and Hamilton clearly processes information at a different speed. So maybe the “aliens” theory isn’t so far away after all. Kyle Hamilton doesn’t rely solely on elite athleticism. He associates it with a mind that seems programmed to absorb patterns, recognize trends, and solve problems in real time.
That’s why we love it. That’s why he’s been described as going from a weapon and a chess piece to an on-field coach and a perennial All-Pro talent at the highest level of football.
