This Dyson is slim in size and price

I can’t remember the last time I saw the Dyson V12 Detect Slim appear as a deal…or even as a standalone product. Honestly, I thought it had been discontinued, but I’m happy to see it’s still available – and at a fantastic price too!

I would never recommend this cordless vacuum at its full price, it’s a bit long for that. However, for AU$599 you get a compact machine, perfect for small homes and almost as powerful as the V15 series.

You’ll get the Fluffy Optic and the Digital Motorbar for different floor types, plus three other attachments for cleaning other surfaces.

I honestly don’t know why the V12 was previously elusive, but Amazon’s Big Smile sale lives up to its name – it certainly makes me smile. Psst, this photo of the V12 is in my apartment

The mouse I use — now 48% off

I have the white (or what’s labeled gray) Logitech Lift, and after a few years of daily use, it’s looking a little worse for wear. I’m very tempted to trade it in for this Graphite version, and it’s cheaper than what I’ve seen before.

The previous low price was AU$69, making the current 48% discount an all-time low on this specific model, so don’t miss out.

I should note that it’s designed for smaller hands like mine, so people wearing large mittens might not appreciate its ergonomics: your little finger might slide along your desk. Otherwise, it is an ergonomic mouse that I warmly recommend.

Hello, Australia! And welcome to TechRadar’s live coverage of Amazon’s first big sale of the year – the Big Smile Sale.

We’ve already had a few Big Smile sales in Australia, so we know a thing or two about them. It usually takes place in March – although this year the start date is Monday, March 16, which is a bit earlier than 2025. This has always been a week-long sale, so nothing new in the fact that you have until Sunday, March 22 to shop until you drop (figuratively, we hope).

Don’t expect record prices on Amazon this time around – this is usually reserved for the Amazon Prime Day sale and the Amazon Black Friday sale – but you’ll usually see around 20-30% off a range of items. There will be deeper discounts on some items, but it will be the rare deal that comes in at an all-time high.
