Walmart store in Prairieville closing for a month to remodel

A Walmart Neighborhood Market in Ascension Parish will be closed for a month-long renovation project beginning April 6, according to the company.

The store at 15047 Airline Highway near Germany Road in Prairieville will be closed, but the on-site gas station will remain open.

Other area Walmart stores will be open, including the larger store at 17585 Airline Highway in Prairieville and the Neighborhood Market at 40567 Highway 42.

The company also operates stores in Gonzales Parish and Donaldsonville.

Walmart previously announced it was renovating several of its stores nationwide.
