Kentucky republican representative Thomas Massie presented a discharge petition on Tuesday to force a voting to the House at the full exit of Jeffrey Epstein’s files.

Massie joined Democrat California rep. Ro Khanna by subjecting a resolution known as “Epstein Files Transparency Act”. To bring the resolution to a vote, the Massie discharge petition needs a simple majority – 218 members – to move forward.

“We all deserve to know what is in Epstein files, which is involved, and how depth this corruption goes. The Americans have been promised justice and transparency. We present a discharge petition to force a vote in the House of American Representatives on the publication of complete files,” Massie on X.

The bipartite resolution provides that all documents related to Epstein will be published no later than 20 days after the “date of promulgation” of the EPSTEIN file transparency law. The Attorney General Pam Bondi is also said to be responsible for publishing a “consulted and downloadable format of all the files, documents, communications and not classified documents” held by the offices of the DOJ, the FBI and the American lawyers. The resolution indicates: “No file will be retained, delayed or expurgated on the basis of one of the following elements: embarrassment, prejudice of reputation or political sensitivity, including any civil servant of the government, foreign public or dignitary figure.”

Since February, Bondi has expressed the administration which pressure for transparency in cases such as Epstein and also the assassination of former president John F. Kennedy. Appearing on “Jesse Watters Primetime” by Fox News on February 26, Bondi said that the public would soon see “many flight newspapers, many names, [and] Lots of information.

The next day, on February 27, a group of conservative influencers was seen outside the White House holding binders entitled “Epstein Files: ONE phase”. The influencers later said that the information had been placed under a brief embargo – only for the public to discover that the Bindeurs contained little or no new information on the case.

The backlash against the administration and the way he managed the files quickly set up, especially after President Donald Trump promised total transparency on the issue.

In March, Bondi reappeared on Hannity de Fox, telling the host that after the briefing, a “source” had informed him that there were additional “evidence” which took place in the South New York district.

Bondi said that she had ordered the FBI director Kash Patel to provide a “detailed report on the reasons why all these documents and evidence had been selected”, promising again to publish the remaining files.

In July, the DoJ discreetly published a memo – obtained by Axios for the first time – saying that the FBI and the Doj found no evidence that Epstein maintained a “list of customers” and no indication of unfair game in his death.

As part of their results, the FBI published more than 10 hours of “raw and improved” sequences from the outside of the Epstein cell at the New York Metropolitan Correction Center. But the questions quickly circulated on a missing minute of sequences just before midnight.

On July 8, Bondi told a journalist that the gap was due to the cameras of the correctional center reset every night. On Friday, Wired published a review of the metadata of the sequences, saying that the video “was probably modified”.

In 2023, Congress unanimously adopted COVVI-19 Origin Act, demanding that all the information relating to the potential links between the Wuhan Virology Institute and the origin of COVID-19 be declassified by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. The intelligence that has undermined the important theory that the virus was born naturally on a wet market in Wuhan, however, was buried, despite the continuation of the legislators.
