LONDON (AP) — Three men who alleged that actor Kevin Spacey sexually assaulted them have settled their civil claims before going to trial at the High Court in London, according to a court document.

All three men claimed the Oscar-winning star repeatedly abused them between 2000 and 2013. Spacey denied the allegations.

The civil trials were scheduled to begin later this year, but Judge Christina Lambert last week ordered a stay of the proceedings, saying the parties had “agreed to the terms of the agreement.”

“By consent, it is ordered that all further proceedings against the defendant in these actions be stayed on the terms set forth in this order and in the confidential schedule,” the judge said.

The terms were not disclosed and the judge made no order regarding costs.

The order, dated March 13, was made public Wednesday.

Representatives for Spacey have been contacted for comment.

Spacey, now 66, faces trial in London in 2023 for nine alleged sexual offenses against four men, and acquitted of all charges.

Two of the civil plaintiffs, whose identities are protected by legal orders, testified during Spacey’s criminal trial.

Spacey also successfully defended himself against a $40 million civil lawsuit in New York in 2022 filed by “Star Trek: Discovery” actor Anthony Rapp.

One of the most famous actors of his generation until his career was derailed by sexual abuse allegations, Spacey starred in films like “Glengarry Glen Ross” and “LA Confidential” and in the television political thriller “House of Cards.” He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the 1995 film “The Usual Suspects” and the Academy Award for Best Leading Actor for the 1999 film “American Beauty.”

Spacey was artistic director of London’s Old Vic Theater from 2004 to 2015.
