Acer’s fast OLED gaming monitors are on sale: Up to 50% off today

If you’ve been waiting for a deal to upgrade your desktop with an OLED monitor, today I have several options for you, all from Acer. Speed demons will want to check out the Predator X27U Z1, which upgrades the 27-inch OLED’s usual refresh rate to 280Hz and is now on sale for just $399.99 (was $549.99). But there are also deals on 34- and 39-inch ultrawides that are worth checking out.
The main deal is a 27-inch Predator with the current resolution of 2560 × 1440 for PC gaming. You also get AMD FreeSync, DisplayPort, and dual HDMI 2.1 support. This one doesn’t include USB-C video or any type of additional USB functionality, so it’s not an easy pairing with a gaming laptop. But you probably won’t find a cheaper OLED from a major brand and Newegg also offers a $20 gift card with purchase. Sure, $20 won’t get you much from Newegg, but every little bit counts when memory costs more than gold-pressed latinum.

Looking for something bigger? Then look no further than the Predator X34 V. B&H is selling this 34-inch 3440×1440 OLED for $499.99. That’s half the Acer retail price! This one is a bit slower at 175Hz, but that should still be enough to take part in most multiplayer games, unless you have superhuman reflexes and vision. And it also supports USB-C charging at 64 watts, as well as a KVM switch. Not fast enough? The same listing has the Predator X34 X (which upgrades the panel to 240Hz) on sale for just $599.99, also half its retail price.
But if you want to go even further, the Predator X39 is also an option. It has almost identical specs, but expands the screen to 39 inches for a little more drama. It’s $699.99 at B&H, which is $500 off.
If none of these work for you (gosh, aren’t you picky?), then check out PCWorld’s roundup of the best gaming monitors.
