Exiled Journalist’s Devastating Take on Iranian Regime As Reaction to Massive Strike Tells You Everything – RedState

Iran is getting pounded around the clock by the U.S. and Israel.

It hasn’t helped the regime that their alleged Supreme Leader, Moqtaba Khamenei, has not been seen since the start of Operation Epic Fury, and no one even knows if he is alive. He supposedly issued a statement for the Nowruz holiday, but again, he wasn’t seen, and he didn’t even read it, so there was no confirmation. As we noted, the message was unhinged from reality, claiming they were “breaking the enemy,” and that he believes in good relations with his neighbors, even as he is attacking them.

We’ve been joking about how Moqtaba is “cardboard” because all they’ve shown of him so far is a picture, and people started a cardboard meme about him. But a journalist from Iran who lives in exile, the Research Director for the National Union for Democracy in Iran, Khosro Isfahani, indicated in a new interview with CNN’s Kate Bolduan how desperate the Iranian regime was regarding what was being done with Moqtaba. He called him the first AI-generated leader. Isfahani also took a hilarious shot at the Supreme Leader.

“We are dealing with an impotent young cleric who has all the charisma of a boiled potato,” Isfahani said. All the footage being put out of Moqtaba was either old or AI-generated,  he explained, “That’s the man we are dealing with.”

Isfahani explained how the leaders were being systematically taken out, including Ali Larijani, who he said had responsibility for the killing of thousands of protesters in January. That’s the guy some on the left thought was “moderate.” He said taking out those guys would block Iran from stabilizing itself.

He also pointed to the importance of taking out the Basij, the “arms” of the regime, suppressing the people, saying hundreds had been taken out, and others were afraid to show up for work.

“This is the last battle for our homeland,” Isfahani declared. “We won’t miss this chance,” he posted on X. He also posted another meme, which someone hilariously based on his interview.

We’ve seen a lot of things that have shown how much the Iranian people hate the regime. But perhaps nothing showed Isfahani’s point more than the response to a massive strike that appeared to be against an Iranian air base in Dezful, Iran. The explosion is powerful. So is the reaction.

Reports indicated that it might have hit an ammunition dump

Take that reaction and multiply it by all the people who probably feel that way.

Can a cardboard, AI-generated leader deal with all that, the U.S. and Israel? Somehow, I don’t think so.
