Savannah Guthrie again asks public for information about her missing mother
Savannah Guthrie and her family have released a new statement about their missing mother, urging people in Tucson, Arizona, to come forward with potential clues to the whereabouts of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie.
In their statement Sunday, the NBC Today show host and her siblings said, “We continue to believe that Tucsonans and the greater southern Arizona community hold the key to finding a solution to this case. Someone knows something. It’s possible that someone in this community has information that they don’t even realize is important.”
“We hope people will dig into their memories, particularly around the key dates of January 31 and the early morning hours of February 1, as well as late in the evening of January 11,” the statement continued, referring to a date investigators have already expressed interest in without revealing why.

Guthrie and his family continued: “We are desperately asking this community to pay renewed attention to our mother’s case – please review camera footage, diary notes, text messages, sightings or conversations that, in retrospect, may have significance. No detail is too small. This may be the key.”
“We miss our mother with every breath, and we cannot be at peace until she is home. We cannot mourn; we can only suffer and marvel. Our goal is only to find her and bring her home. We want to celebrate her beautiful and courageous life, but we cannot do so until she is brought to a final resting place,” they concluded.
Sunday marks seven weeks since the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, who authorities say was abducted from her Tucson home.
In addition to the drops of blood found on Guthrie’s porch, investigators also recovered DNA from a glove found two miles from her home. The glove appeared to resemble one worn by a female suspect seen in surveillance footage from the night she disappeared. However, the glove was later discredited after it was discovered that it belonged to a restaurant employee and not the kidnapper involved in the case.
Authorities say the investigation remains active as local and federal agencies continue to analyze forensic evidence.
In recent weeks, investigators have canvassed nearby neighborhoods, reviewed hours of surveillance footage and conducted numerous interviews, but no arrests have been made.
In February, a man was arrested during a traffic stop and underwent several hours of questioning “as part of the investigation” before finally being released.
Since her mother’s disappearance, Savannah Guthrie has used her national platform to raise awareness, frequently sharing updates and pleas for information. Her family has offered a $1 million reward for information about her mother.
Earlier this month, NBC confirmed that Savannah Guthrie planned to return to the Today show, but offered no timetable for when she would return to the role.
