Fresh from scoring a spectacular long-range goal, it appears Milan defender Strahinja Pavlovic is attracting interest from Chelsea.

The tall and powerful central defender has made his mark at both ends of the pitch, as as well as being a defender, he has scored four goals and provided one assist in 26 Serie A games so far this season.

This included an extraordinary strike under the crossbar in Saturday’s 3-2 win over Torino.

The 24-year-old was a big investment from RB Salzburg in the summer of 2024, arriving for €18.5 million plus bonuses.

According to Calciomercato, Pavlovic has attracted the attention of Chelsea scouts, who believe he would be a good fit for the Premier League.

His contract runs until June 2028, although Milan have the option to extend it for another year.

The Serbian international has been compared to former Milan defender Jaap Stam for his style of play and physique.

Milan would be in absolutely no rush to sell Pavlovic and would be prepared to resist Chelsea’s opening offer of around €40 million.

They are on track for Champions League qualification and this will further boost the Rossoneri’s coffers.
