What Has Happened to America’s Youth? CA Mob’s Trashing of Convenience Store Has Become All Too Common – RedState

Look, I wasn’t an altar boy in high school, and I did some things that I would probably complain about now. I liked to have fun, pull a prank or two, question authority, play loud music, and be a bit of a troublemaker. However, I have never been wrongand I understood that if I went too far, there would be consequences.
For many cities in blue states, the consequences are a thing of the past, as they are deemed inequitable, racist and discriminatory. But as we see again and again, when there are no consequences, behavior only gets worse.
How else to describe this disgusting scene that occurred in Sacramento, California on March 19? It would be one thing if it was a coincidence, but I’ve written about many such incidents before:

At least thirty young people were involved in this latest incident, all knowing that the most they would receive would be a slap on the wrist in Governor Gavin Newsom’s California, if that.
In moments, a swarm of teenagers transformed a Sacramento gas station convenience store into a scene of chaos, as surveillance video showed merchandise flying and a lone employee left to his own devices.
The incident occurred March 19 at a Chevron station along Folsom Boulevard, where a large group of juveniles flooded the store and began vandalizing the business, according to Sacramento police.
Police told Fox News Digital that officers received a call that night about 25 to 30 juveniles involved in the disturbance in the 8000 block of Folsom Boulevard. At that time, the caller indicated that he did not expect to be contacted by the officers.
This is actually a fairly common occurrence in what is the state capital, a place where you might think law and order matters:

As I said earlier, I was a bit rowdy in my day, but I just can’t wrap my head around the idea of wanting to wantonly destroy property and ruin people’s livelihoods. Even though some of the flash mobs we saw were comprised of African Americans, we saw many people of different races engaging in these atrocities. This is not a racial issue: People of all colors have rampaged cities during the George Floyd riots and other protests.
It’s a question of “consequences”: young people grew up knowing that they could do just about anything and find themselves on the streets in an hour.
This is what “defund the police,” “justice reform,” and other progressive bullshit brought us. The old adage “do the crime, do the time” seems to have been completely forgotten.
The solution is actually quite simple: when you cross the line, you stare at the concrete walls for a long time. Why too many Americans have apparently forgotten this obvious fact remains a mystery to me.
Young people – especially young men – are full of hormones, aggression, confusion and restlessness. How do I know? Because I was one. For centuries, however, civilizations around the world have dealt with this problem by having older men guide them through their lives – and handing them harsh consequences when they crossed the line.
This is what we need now, not “judicial reform” and “fairness” policing.
Editor’s note: The American people overwhelmingly support President Trump’s law and order agenda.
