‘The Harbaugh way’: Even practice jerseys are a source of pride

It was a June summer day, but Daiyan Henley was dressed for a moment during prime time. Played with long socks, white pants and a round on its elbow, the busy training jersey was complete with lightning lights for the game on each shoulder.
The training jerseys of another team are simple. They are more cowardly. They are more breathable.
“But it’s us,” said Henley, passing his fingertips on her crisp blue jersey. “It’s clean.”
“This,” he added, “is the way of Harbaugh.”
Upon entering his second season at the helm while the training camp begins on Thursday, Jim Harbaugh is firmly woven in the fabric of the organization loaders. The coach responsible for the best reversal in a franchise season in 20 years has been the brain behind the new training patches of the team. Already equipped with their raised practice jerseys, players now carry their greatest achievements on their chest with patches that celebrate personal victories while putting pressure for collective success.
The fixes represent eight achievements: Victories in the playoffs, charge records, NFL Records, All-Pro Seasons, Seasons as team captain, Walter Payton Man of the Year, the NFL Block Courage Award and the Block of Granite Award determined by the Staff and Packaging of Chargers.
Chargers Safety Derwin James Jr. talks about patches on his practice jersey during a press conference in June.

The only player who has at least one is behind James Jr.
The quadruple right chest of the team captain is glued with three appearances in the playoffs, three charge records, three NFL records, two nominations for the man of the year, four All-Pro honors and one of each of the courage and the Awards granite block. He wants to collect enough patches to reach his ribs.
“In the end, we are all professionals, it’s a professional league, but [the patches] In a way, keep us connected and get a little boastful in the locker room, “said James.” The guys want to compete so that their jersey also looks like that. “”
In Michigan, Harbaugh used helmet stickers to symbolize the achievements of each player. The jersey patches recall the scratch coach on the uniform of a general.
“One day, they can put this jersey in a setting, put it on a wall, say something really good about themselves,” said Harbaugh. “This will be what they have accomplished as a professional football player.”
Patchs are the latest innovation in Harbaugh’s culture. He equipped the changing rooms with personalized locker name labels that list the classification of the hometown, college, secondary and recruitment of each player to promote the team link. The coach distributed metal lunch buckets and work -colored colored worktops with embroidered name labels to symbolize the team’s working mentality. The hooded sweatshirts celebrated the big victories such as the team’s thriller against the Bengals of Cincinnati, a Thursday evening victory at the end of the season on the Broncos of Denver and the victory in the playoffs on the New England Patriots.
“He wants it to be an inside, internally,” said Henley. “Everything is love, football and family, and that’s how we are going to our business. Now that we have another year to our credit, we have had bad games and good games and we have taken the distance and we did not accomplish what we wanted, all that wrapped in one, that’s what motivates us and pushes us forward.”
After having obtained 11-6 in the first regular season of Harbaugh, the charges will no longer be a candidate in the playoff series. With the momentum of a successful start in the Harbaugh era, the team hopes to make consecutive appearances for the first time since 2009.
“We are far from being ahead of the place where we were last year, but there is still a lot of work to do,” said the quarter of Justin Herbert during Minicamp. “I think the guys have done an excellent job this off -season of presenting themselves mentally prepared and being concentrated day after day.”
Herbert’s jersey patches require several rows of lightning marks to display its many NFL and loaders records. However, the Quarterrière is missing a brand of victory in the playoff series.
Not only is 0-2 in the playoffs, but the two losses came in spectacular disasters. The charges brought a 27 -point lead against Jacksonville in a joker match in 2022. He launched four interceptions against Houston Texans last year.
Despite athletics and the talent of the elite arms of Herbert, the 27 -year -old will remain in the hierarchy of the quarter after he finds the success of the qualifiers which follows the contemporaries Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson.
The price they chasing are much more than a New Jersey patch.
Etc.
The loads placed five players on the list physically unable to play before the training camp: S Elijah Molden, Wr Mike Williams, WR Jaylen Johnson, LB de’Shawn Phillips and T Savion Washington. Molden, who signed an extension of three years in February, underwent a knee operation off -season and missed the entire off -season program. He said in April that he expected to be ready for the training camp.
