Tineco Floor One S9 Artist Steam Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner review: Excellent on any surface

A few months ago, I spilled frozen berries on my linoleum kitchen floor when I was testing a new ice manufacturer. Since then, there has been a vaguely purple stain on the surface of the checkerboard which narrated every time I entered the room. Now, this task has disappeared thanks to the steam steam steam steam vacuum cleaner. This newly announced model combines a vacuum cleaner with a powerful steam cleaner for hard surfaces and envelops them all in a smooth set. Combo cleaners like this are often below in one way or another, but after several weeks of regular use, I do not find a mess or an accident that sits a flagship cleaner from Tineco.

Verdict spoiler: This high performance vacuum makes several high promises in multi-surface cleaning and global versatility. And although it is not cheap, Tineco somehow provides clean soil.
How we tested the Tineco Floor One S9 floor Steam artist damp dryer
I prefer to test devices like this by integrating them into my life as I would do if I bought it. I exchanged my solid but aged dyson ball for this exam vacuum cleaner and cleaned every two days. I tested it mainly on dog hair, dust, dirt and other common spills. I also put it through more robust intentional spills with substances that are difficult to clean like cornstarch, glitter and turned soil.
To test the power of the removal of spots, I put the S9 in bulk on the jelly, the coffee and a coloring of the dried berries which has been on my soil for some time.
We have not put it through exaggerated tests that would push the limits of a typical vacuum because, although entertaining, these results often do not represent real performance in the real world.
Design and assembly
Outside the box, the Tineco goes hand in hand with only a few simple steps. Click on the handle in the main body, fill in the water tank, connect the base and start loading. It took more time to cut the strip on the box than to completely assemble the void.

The void is on a dedicated load quay, which is easy to trigger in the corner of the room. When the vacuum cleaner strikes the charger, a colored lighting system (and even a voice notification if you wish) allows you to know that it loads. The small screen on the handle indicates the load level readable on the other side of the room, so you will always know how many juices you have. The whole process makes this vacuum more like a gadget than a device, which I mean in the most positive way possible.
First cleaning with the Tineco Floor One S9 floor Steam artist Dry damp

It is a self -propelled vacuum, so as soon as it lights up, it begins to move. The first thing I noticed is how agile in terms of maneuver. I used the dyson ball a little, but I better like manipulation on Tineco. It cuts the hard corners around the table legs and in small corners and corners. It moves a little faster than I would push it manually because it knows how fast it can go while obtaining a good cleaning. I am apparently an overly prudent vacuum cleaner operator.
The front of the vacuum cleaner is relatively low and easily adapts under my cabinets, my sofa and my television stands. This did not quite correspond under the door of my refrigerator to get the grime that falls there, but again, very few vacuum cleaners that I tested were able to launch under there.
A big advantage that Tineco offers on part of its competition: it can work while the handle is completely flat. So if you want to go under the bed or a table, you can lower the handle as far as you need it. It is a great victory for people who hate moving furniture (which, I suppose, is almost everyone).
Silent
The second thing I noticed after ease of movement was the sound level. I generally use a full -size vacuum cleaner and Tineco is a quieter order of magnitude, even in max mode. My dog generally crashes when it is time to vacuum and she had no problem with Tineco, even when I was running it right next to her bed. It is the most difficult criticism in this regard, and the S9 passes with flying colors there.
Cleaning modes

A single button Press the downflows between cleaning modes. The automatic mode quickly determines the type of surface that you clean, as well as the dirt level to apply the appropriate cleaning techniques. Max mode amplifies the power of its upper adjustment in order to tackle areas with accumulated dirt – or in my case, dog hair. Steam mode operates on hard surfaces to remove stains and dirt. The water in the tank needs time to warm up before you can activate the Steam mode, so give it about 60 seconds to do it.
For my first pass on all my floors, I found myself quite often in max mode. Because I could enter the areas that my typical vacuum breaches, I came out of old tumbles of dogs and dust that hid. With subsequent cleanings, however, I found that automatic mode worked very well.
The vacuum automatically identifies the areas with strong dirt and adjusts the cleaning power and the process accordingly. The dynamic light on the void itself keeps you in the loop on the cleaning process without even having to look at the screen on the handle.
Swing
Tineco does not spoil with regard to steam cleaning. The steam mode on this vacuum cleaner distributes water to a minimum temperature of 210 degrees, which allows it to loosen the stains and grease hard surfaces. It is apart from the capacities of a typical vacuum and much more effective than something like a damp mop, which tends to push the damage rather than cleaning them.
Even when the steam is fully engaged, this cleaner works very quietly. I gave the kitchen floor in linoleum the steam treatment and I noticed a tangible difference in its cleanliness. I generally clean every week, but I was surprised to see how much Tineco managed to find.
Clean the cleaner

As soon as the void strikes the load quay, it performs a self -diagnosis test to determine the level of its own cleanliness. If necessary, it involves a self -cleaning process, which takes less than five minutes, followed by an air drying process of five minutes.
The vacuum does not require any intervention during this cleaning process, except when it is time to empty the dirty water receptacle. The base and the vacuum cleaner use hot water to carefully clean the rolls and the interns before blowing everything with hot air.
The withdrawal of the dirty water tank is simple, although the mechanism to lock the filter in the tank seems more fragile than I would like. I did not encounter any problem with this, but I was prudent by removing and resetting it. Overall, the whole device is very easy to maintain.
The box is delivered with a replacement roller as well as an additional air filter for replacement.
Battery life and other features

Tineco promises up to 75 minutes of operation on a single load, but this number fluctuates according to mode, conditions and (depending on my experience). I don’t need a full hour to clean the floors in my house with 1,100 square feet, so I generally finished with around 20 to 25% load. I approached the exhaustion of the battery when using a heavy steam cleaning, which makes sense because it takes a lot of energy to heat the water.
There are a number of other interesting features integrated into the S9. The title provides solid light on the ground and directional nature highlights the dirt that must be captured. I know I have already mentioned it, but the silent race is really a differentiating with this void. Not only does it work quietly, but the sound it makes prevents network tags that some other vacuum cleaners create.
Continue to ride

The main problem I encounter with most vacuum cleaners implies that rollers are stuck with my insidious hair dogs. Tineco has a constant intelligent cleaning system that continuously pulls hair and other debris from the roller when it works to prevent tangles and jams. Even for several weeks of cleaning, the hair never managed to cut the roll and I never had to stop to clean it manually. I am sure that I will one day, but it has not happened so far and it is an impressive achievement.
Who should buy the Tineco Floor One S9 steam steam vacuum cleaner?
At $ 999 at retail (or $ 899 in pre -order), this is an investment, but it is really used for the objective of several floor cleaners. It is a very competent vacuum cleaner that easily manages heavy debris and hard hairs. At the same time, it is an effective steam cleaner that can pull the naughty grime of any surface. I found myself cleaning my floors more regularly because the use of the S9 does not look like a chore.
