These are the new emojis coming to your iPhone in iOS 26

Ballet dancers, Bigfoot hunters and trombone players, today is a special day in the world in emoji for you! The Unicode Consortium announced the release of the Emojis, reduced bids at the end of last year. Without further ado, here is the list:
- Apple core
- Ballet dancers
- Distorted face
- Combat cloud
- Hairy creature (it looks like Bigfoot)
- Orca
- Treasure chest
- Trombone
The only emoji who did not cut is the landslide. The new emoji will be part of the Unicode 17.0 version, which is planned for this fall. However, they will not be available when iOS 26 will arrive in September. Since Apple adopts its own style for new emojis, this set will probably be available in a subsequent update of iOS 26, probably at the beginning of 2026. For example, the last set announced in 2024 was published as part of iOS 18.4 in March.
IOS 26 will also allow users to mix their favorite emoji with Apple Intelligence Genmoji functionality.
The Unicode consortium is a non-profit base that maintains the Unicode standard, a set of standards used to ensure that the text and emoji maintain their integrity between the platforms. Each year, Unicode publishes a new set of emojis, based on submitted proposals. Anyone can submit an online emoji proposal, and Unicode also has a character adoption program that helps finance the Foundation.
Apple made its own announcement linked to emoji Thursday with the release of the new Emoji game on its Apple News +service. The object of the Emoji game is to complete the words of words by interpreting a given set of Emoji. If you are in the spirit of the word emoji day, play the game, then consult the prices of the world emoji and rockez the hymn of the world’s emoji world. And then start counting on the days until you can send everyone a Bigfoot emoji with a trombone.
