‘Euphoria’ Season 3: What happened to everyone during the time jump?

What did Rue Bennett (Zendaya) and her do? Euphoria the crew made a five-year time jump between Euphoria Seasons 2 and 3? In the words of Rue herself, “Nothing good.”
“‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Review: It Should Be Great”. Instead, it’s disgusting.
From drug dealing to Hollywood moves, here’s what happened to each Euphoria characters during the time jump. Keep in mind that several characters from seasons 1 and 2, like Kat (Barbie Ferreira), Gia (Storm Reid), Ethan (Austin Abrams), and McKay (Algee Smith), are no longer on the show. We will only focus on the fate of the characters who are still in season 3.

Street was through this since the season 2 finale. A few years after leaving high school, she worked at a smoke stand, only to be found by drug dealer Laurie (Martha Kelly). It turns out that the $10,000 owed to Rue in Season 2 is still very much on Laurie’s mind, so much so that she’s calculated that with the outrageous interest and inflation, Rue’s total has ballooned to $43 million.
Don’t worry, Laurie is a generous drug lord and will happily settle for $100,000. How exactly is Rue supposed to pay? By becoming Laurie’s drug mule. She regularly travels to Mexico, swallows small bags of drugs and brings them back to the United States hidden in her intestines. When it comes to Euphoria time-jumping journeys, this is certainly one of the darkest.

Rue is still in contact with Lexi (Maude Apatow). After writing the play that caused a riot in East Highland, she is now living her dream as a writer in Hollywood. She works as a writing assistant for Patty Lance (Sharon Stone), an “industry legend” who runs a nighttime soap opera. LA evenings.

Maddy Pérez

Lexi is not the only one Euphoria character trying to make it in the entertainment industry. Maddy (Alexa Demie) is also in the thick of things. She is a talent manager for influencers and actors, including LA evenings “idol” Dylan Reid (Homer Gere). In theory, management is the ideal job for someone as confident and with as much influence as Maddy. But based on Episode 1, it seems the position isn’t as fulfilling or lucrative as she hoped.
Cassie Howard

While her sister works in Hollywood, Cassie is content in her “right-wing suburban bubble.” She and Nate (Jacob Elordi) are engaged and preparing for their wedding (which I’m sure will be a happy and wholesome event for everyone involved). She is also trying to become famous on TikTok and Instagram. Soon, she hopes to move to OnlyFans, where she thinks she can make enough money to pay for the $50,000 wedding flowers she wants. And if you think Euphoria Creator Sam Levinson is going to handle online sex work with all kinds of nuance in the future, I can assure you that’s not the case.

Nate Jacobs

Nate has taken over his father’s (Eric Dane) contracting business and is trying to build a large and lucrative development. However, according to Rue’s voiceover, he realizes that it is very difficult to build in Southern California, which could lead to financial problems down the road. That didn’t stop him from buying a Cybertruck, because Of course Nate Jacobs would drive a Cybertruck.
Jules Vaughn

We don’t really see Jules (Hunter Schafer) in EuphoriaIt’s the season 3 premiere, but she’s currently in art school. She is also, as we learn through the grapevine, a sugar baby. All other details are currently a mystery.
Fezco O’Neill

Angus Cloud in “Euphoria” Season 2.

Actor Angus Cloud, who played drug dealer Fezco, died in 2023. However, Euphoria Season 3 keeps his character alive off-screen. As season 3 picks up, he is serving a prison sentence following the SWAT raid on his house in the season 2 finale. He is still in contact with Rue.
On the decision to keep Fezco on the show after Cloud’s death, Levinson said The Hollywood Reporter“I couldn’t keep him alive in real life, but I could keep his character alive on the show. I kept him alive and the character has a great arc. I think he would be very proud of that.”
New episodes of Euphoria airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
