Florida Rep. Joe Casello dies while in office

Boynton Beach, Florida – The Florida Democratic legislator, Joe Casello, died while he was in office after a heart attack, according to officials of the Chamber of State. He was 73 years old.
Casello, which was elected for the first time at Florida House in 2018 in a district of Boynton Beach, was surrounded by his girlfriend and his family when he died on Friday, said the Florida House Democrat in a social media position.
“The family extends their deep gratitude to all those who offered their love and support during this difficult period,” the Caucus said in a press release.
Casello was a firefighter in Worcester, Massachusetts, for three decades before entering politics in Florida. He was a Boynton Beach City commissioner before becoming legislative of the state. He had announced his intention to present himself for a siege at the Palm Beach Comté commission in 2026.
