“We will exercise the purchase option” – Köln boss reveals Kaminski will sign permanently

Jakub Kaminski, currently on loan from VfL Wolfsburg, will also play for 1.FC Köln next season, according to Sky Germany’s sources.

Köln reportedly intends to exercise the purchase option in the loan agreement with the attacking player, supposedly set at €5.5million.

“It applies regardless of the league and we will exercise the purchase option. He has shown again today how important he is,” Thomas Kessler told Sky last night after a 1-1 draw with FC St. Pauli.

Kaminski joined from Wolfsburg – a side where he struggled to find any form – before the season and has since become indispensable.
