Kerrville, Texas – Managers of a community of Texas Hill Country were struck by deadly floods on July 4 said on Saturday that only three people remain missing, nearly 100, after people who had been missing previously had since been recorded.

The reduction in the number of people on the missing list came when the search for victims entered his third week. It was a significant decrease compared to more than 160 people that the officials previously were not counted in the County of Kerr alone.

“This remarkable progress reflects countless hours of coordinated research and rescue, meticulous investigation and an unwavering commitment to bring clarity and hope to families for an unimaginably difficult period,” said Dalton Rice, director of the city of Kerrville, in a press release.

The number of deaths in the county of Kerr, 107, was held stable for much of this week when intensive research continued.

Sudden floods killed at least 135 people in Texas during the holiday weekend, with most of the deaths along the Guadalupe river in Kerr county, about 60 miles (100 kilometers) northwest of San Antonio.

Just before Daybreak on July 4, destructive and rapidly evolving waters increased by 26 feet (8 meters) on the Guadalupe, washing houses and vehicles.

The floods have spoiled the country of the hills, a popular tourist destination where campers are looking for places along the river in the middle of the hilly landscape. It is naturally subject to sudden floods because its dry and packaged soil cannot absorb heavy rain.

Holiday cabins, young people for young people fill the banks and hills of Kerr County, including the Mystic camp, a Centennial Christian summer camp for girls. Located in a lower area of a region known as “South Flood Alley”, the Mystic Camp has lost at least 27 campers and advisers.

The floods were much more severe than the 100 -year -old event envisaged by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, said experts, and he moved so quickly in the middle of the night that he took a lot in a county that had no warning system.

In Kerrville, around 100 miles (160 kilometers) west of Austin, local officials were examined to find out if the residents were adequately warned of rising waters.

President Donald Trump and the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, have agreed against questions on the way in which local authorities answered the forecasts of heavy rains and the sudden flood reports.

The crews looked for victims using helicopters, boats and drones. Previous efforts have been hampered by rain forecasts, which led certain crews to remember or stop due to concerns about more floods.
