Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets found dead at his California home at age 67

Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets died Wednesday at the age of 67.
The television personality had appeared on the A&E reality series starting in 2010 for 163 episodes.
Sheets appeared to have died of a gunshot wound to the head, police in Lake Havasu, Arizona, said in a news release obtained by the Daily Mail.
Early Wednesday morning, law enforcement responded to a call about a deceased person at their home.
“The male subject has been identified as Darrell Sheets, a 67-year-old resident of Lake Havasu City and Darrell’s family has been notified,” the release said.
Sheets was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has since been transported to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Sheets resided in Arizona after his retirement and also ran an antiques store called Havasu Show Me Your Junk.
He often posts about the store on his Instagram page, with his last post going live in December, shortly before Christmas.
Sheets had shared photos of signs that had been delivered to the store and encouraged fans to stop by then.
The late star appeared on Storage Wars for 13 seasons and last appeared on the series in 2023.
He had been a guest on other shows, including Rachael Ray and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Sheets has also been candid about his health and revealed on Instagram in 2019 that he suffered a “mild heart attack.”
“Well here we go, I wasn’t going to say anything but you all have been great friends and fans,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself resting in a hospital bed.

Sheets has also been candid about his health and revealed on Instagram in 2019 that he suffered a “mild heart attack.”
“I have been very ill for 3 months and two nights ago I had a mild heart attack. I discovered that I had congestive heart failure and a serious problem with my lungs.
He added: “Today I am having surgery, so all your prayers would be deeply appreciated. Thank you for being there for me, it’s been a great adventure #storagewars.’
Following surgery in which he received two stents in his heart, Sheets shared a separate post to provide an update and encouraged his followers to prioritize their health.
“I was a closet diabetic who ate what I wanted and masked it with diabetes pills, I am paying the price,” he wrote.
“I’m begging all my friends, fans and family to really take care of your health. I’ve survived a lot over the last 31 and a half years and I will survive this, but this is a huge life change and if I had looked at it and taken [sic] take care of it, I wouldn’t be in this position.
Following surgery in which he received two stents in his heart, Sheets shared a separate post to provide an update and encouraged his followers to prioritize their health.
The late star added: “God spared me once again and I will definitely be more careful this time.”
He told his fans he was “feeling better” before expressing his gratitude for the support he received.
During his time on the show, Sheets had developed the nickname The Gambler.
An A&E spokesperson told People on Wednesday, “We are saddened by the passing of a beloved member of our Storage Wars family, Darrell, “The Gambler,” Sheets. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
