How Is Iran Attacking Ships Not Violating Ceasefire?

On Fox News Channel’s “Ingraham Angle” Wednesday, host Laura Ingraham responded to the White House’s claims that Iran had not violated the ceasefire by saying, “Maybe I’m being thick here, but didn’t they attack three ships?” And we wonder how this would not constitute a violation of the ceasefire.
In speaking with the counterterrorism coordinator during the first Trump administration, Amb. Nathan Sales, Ingraham said: “Now, Mr. Ambassador, the White House claimed today that Iran did not violate the ceasefire. Maybe I’m here, but didn’t they attack three ships? How is that not violating the ceasefire?”
Sales responded that Iran had been “violating the ceasefire since the time the ink was dry on the deal. Trade meant the United States stopping its punitive and crippling military offensive against the Iranian regime and, in return, the regime opened the strait, and it never did that. He said, well, we will open the strait, but only if you pay us a toll or only if you use certain waters close to Iranian territory and only if you coordinate with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps So they have been – let’s be clear, they have broken the ceasefire since day one.
