Oregon authorities are still searching for 2 missing after a fatal waterfall accident

The rescuers of the center of Oregon continued to search on Monday two alleged people who died two days after having disappeared in a fatal cascade accident, the authorities announced.
The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon when a group was swept out on Dillon Falls on the Deschutes river, about 10 miles from Bend. A person died on the scene and three were saved from the river.
Divers, boats, drones and dogs were deployed on Monday as part of research and rescue operations on the river, said Jason Carr, spokesperson for the Sheriff of the DESCHUTES County. The two disappeared people are probably died due to the substance to survive the falls and rapids of 15 feet (5 meters), he said.
“The bright waters last a fairly decent section. So, it’s not just:” Oh, it’s a quick drop and it’s finished “” said Carr, noting the cold temperature and the rocks in fast water. “It is a fairly long cascade of rushed water.”
The detectives worked to determine how the group was swept away on the falls and how the saved people were able to survive.
“The presumption is that the three to survive have not crossed the falls because the chances they live are almost thin to nothing,” said Carr.
The group floated on the river, but the type of floating devices they used were not confirmed, said Carr.
People recreating in this river area normally come out in the area of use of the Dillon Falls, because the waterfall is just around the turn, said Carr. The panels along the river warn against the dangerous waterfall to come.
The three rescued people had minor injuries such as scratches and bruises and were able to leave the rescue boat by themselves and walk. They were transported to a local hospital to make sure they had no other injuries, said Carr.
The officials have not yet disclosed the identity of those of the group.
The Deschutes river, which crosses Bend, is popular in summer for rafting, floating interior tube, kayak, paddle board and other nautical activities.
