Greenpeace hails Italy court ruling allowing climate lawsuit against energy company ENI to go ahead

The highest Italian court has judged that a trial brought by climatic activists against the Eni Italian energy society and its government shareholders can move forward. The Court of Cassation rejected ENI requests to reject the trial for legal grounds in an order published on Monday. He ordered that the case was heard on his merits by a court in Rome. Greenpeace said on Tuesday that the decision was a victory for efforts to continue climate justice in Italy.
