Human remains possibly found in South Philadelphia basement

The medical examiner’s office is working to determine whether human remains were found in a South Philadelphia basement.
Police were called to the 1800 block of Wharton Street around 5 p.m.
Authorities say the property was being cleaned up at the time of the discovery.
Seven suspected human bones were sent for analysis.
Anyone with information is asked to call Philadelphia police.
