A 6-year-old boy was struck by a 68-year-old driver in a Hyundai Palisade May 12 along 8200 of McClory Lane, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
The boy remains in critical condition at Vanderbilt Pediatrics.
According to police, the preliminary investigation indiciates the child was hit eastbound as he entered the roadway bound for his apartment complex.
“It appears the 6-year-old climbed an embankment and went over a guardrail in order to cross the road,” police said in a release.
