VanSlooten, a two-time All-Big Ten honoree at Michigan State, was selected No. 39 in the 2026 WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm. She played in four games with the Storm, including one against the Fever, averaging 4.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game before being waived on May 18.

At Michigan State, VanSlooten averaged 15.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game during his senior season.

VanSlooten will give the Indiana Fever additional depth in the frontcourt, a group that has been hit by injuries early in the season: Monique Billings missed the season opener with an ankle injury and returned on May 13, and Aliyah Boston missed the Fever’s game against Seattle on May 17 with a leg injury before returning on May 20.
