Jeffries Desperately Tries to Distance Dems From ‘Vile’ TX Candidate, but He Can’t Hide Their Issues – RedState
Democrats have a real problem on their hands in Texas.
We reported on some of the crazy things said by TX-35’s leading Democratic candidate, Maureen Galindo. This is just a small sample.
In an Instagram post last week, Galindo wrote that she would “turn the Karnes ICE Detention Center into a prison for American Zionists and former ICE officers for human trafficking. (It will also be a castration center for pedophiles who will likely be most Zionists).”
Galindo came in first in the primary, but without enough votes to avoid a runoff, which will take place next week against second-place Democrat Johnny Garcia.
She’s now trying to claim her comments on her own social media were “misinterpreted” and place the blame on other Democrats.

Meanwhile, Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) is desperately scrambling to turn this Democrat around. Listen to what he says here; you would think she was a Republican.

Jeffries said she had been “strongly condemned by Democrats across the political spectrum,” and he claimed Republicans were “strengthening her candidacy.”
He bases this on a report that a PAC, Lead Left, was supporting her, and they claimed her website contained metadata linked to WinRed, a major Republican donations platform. This seems like a desperate excuse.
Asked about allegations that Republicans supported Galindo, House Speaker Mike Johnson told reporters Wednesday: “Of course not. I didn’t even know this person existed.”
“I don’t know anything about it, except that these crazy comments surfaced yesterday, and a number of people sent them to me, and I thought it was a perfect example of where the Democratic Party is going,” he said. “We say all the time: This is not your father’s Democratic Party.”
Clearly, no member of the GOP supported his comments.
That’s ultimately the problem Jeffries and Democratic leaders have here. They can’t run this. This woman has been saying things for a while, but the Democrats still voted for her and put her first. And if you check the responses to Jeffries’ comments on X, there seem to be leftists angry at him for attacking her. We have seen that the Democrats have a large swathe of anti-Semitic leftists.
Can we also talk about their Democratic candidate for Maine Senate, the one with the Nazi tattoo, Graham Platner? He was also just exposed for making another incredibly disgusting comment, on a video showing an American soldier being shot dead by the Taliban. “This video never gets old. That stupid bastard didn’t deserve to live,” Platner reportedly wrote.
