Hunter Biden drops Israeli spy bombshell as he claims his father was embroiled in Mossad scheme

Hunter Biden accused Israeli intelligence of being behind a false corruption complaint against his father during a stunning interview with Candace Owens.

The 56-year-old claimed his father was the victim of a Mossad-linked scheme that fueled the 2023 Republican impeachment inquiry, during a surprise interview with the conservative firebrand who spent years mocking him as a “crackhead.”

He alleged that Disgraced FBI informant Alexander Smirnov is “a known Israeli intelligence agent” and suspected arms-running fugitive Gal Luft is hiding in Israel under government protection.

“Those are the two main people who made the one claim that people hung their hat on in Congress and elsewhere as it relates to my father and corruption and bribery and stuff like that,” Hunter told Owens.

He claimed that Smirnov had mysteriously disappeared from federal prison.

“He is on leave but no one knows where he was placed on leave and the only passport he has is an Israeli passport,” Hunter said.

Smirnov, 44, was jailed for six years in January 2025 for fabricating claims that bosses at Ukrainian gas company Burisma paid Joe and Hunter $5 million each.

It became a central part of the Republican impeachment inquiry against the then-president.

Luft, a 57-year-old dual U.S.-Israeli citizen, was indicted by the Southern District of New York in 2022 for acting as a Chinese foreign agent, brokering illicit arms deals and sanctioning Iranian oil.

Hunter claimed Israel was protecting the alleged arms dealer.

“Luft, who was a former IDF officer, appears to be living in Israel as a fugitive, and the Israelis will not help us locate him,” he told Owens.

The bombshell came in a wide-ranging interview in which Hunter also admitted that his descent into crack addiction was a slow-motion suicide attempt designed to inflict maximum pain on his family.

“I was a coward. I didn’t go and do it. I said, let me do it this way and really take everyone with me along the way. Let me find a way to not only kill myself, but kill my father, you know, that will really hurt my family,” Hunter told Owens.

Conservatives seized on the documents as evidence of corruption, while intelligence officials and Democrats dismissed them at the time as Russian disinformation.

Twitter and Facebook deleted the post as the election approached, fueling Republican fury and lingering doubts about the legitimacy of Biden’s victory.

Suspicion still surrounds Hunter’s appointment to the board of Burisma in 2014, a $50,000-a-month job he held for five years despite having no experience in the energy sector while his father was Barack Obama’s top envoy to Ukraine.

Smirnov, an FBI informant for more than a decade, told U.S. investigators that Russian intelligence agents were involved in providing the Bidens’ story.

He said the Russians had information on Hunter because the hotel where he was staying in kyiv was bugged and under Moscow’s control.
