Trump Got Intro From Big Name at Rally, and Liberals Were Not Happy Campers – RedState

President Donald Trump was in New York for a rally Friday at Rockland Community College in Suffern to support the re-election of Republican Mike Lawler (NY-17).

As our sister site Townhall observed, Trump received a pretty big introduction while he was there from New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart. “Big Blue” is the Giants’ nickname, so of course he greeted them and the fans first.

“What an honor, what a privilege to be here,” Dart said, then introduced the “45th and 47th Presidents of the United States.”

Trump was equally gracious, praising Dart’s skills and saying that he, Trump, loved New York and that we needed to “make it right.”

“I want to thank Jaxson Dart, he will be a future Hall of Famer in my book,” Trump said, pointing to Dart. “Thank you, thank you, Jaxson. Very talented.”

He joked that Dart had “legs like tree trunks.”

This made liberals angrier than chickens that Dart dared to have the audacity to do such a thing.

These are some of the printable comments. They cannot tolerate any political disagreement – the most illiberal people there is.

Trump also recognized Welles Crowther, known as “The Man in the Red Bandana,” for saving 18 people by courageously sacrificing his own life on 9/11. Trump announced that Crowther would receive a well-deserved Presidential Medal of Freedom and praised his mother for raising such a good son.

Trump also embraced the family of Sheridan Gorman, an 18-year-old college student who was allegedly killed by an illegal alien. Her mother, Jessica Gorman, said her daughter’s life was stolen by a man who should never have been here.

She implored people to support “leaders and policies” who would protect “your child and mine.” A city, state or country that does not protect its children “has lost its way,” she said.

Her husband, Tom Gorman, also echoed this thought:

“But I don’t understand why this is a fight that only belongs to one party,” he said. “Protecting our people is not politics. It is the primary responsibility of government.”

He’s absolutely right, but Democrats have abandoned that responsibility, one of many reasons they shouldn’t have power.
